Older Infants Objectives

Beginning Preschool Objectives
1. Shows increasing levels of proficiency, control, and balance in walking, climbing, running, marching, etc.
2. Begins to coordinate movements in more complex gross motor tasks.
3. Uses strength and control with a variety of objects and performs simple tasks.
Observations:
Intermediate Preschool Objectives
1. Demonstrates growing strength, dexterity and control needed to perform a variety of fine motor tasks.
2. Demonstrate increasing stamina, endurance, control, balance and coordination.
3. Use balance and control to perform large motor tasks.
Observations:
Physical Development/Health Indicators-
1. Coordinate movements to perform more complex tasks.
2. Demonstrate advancing strength, control, and eye-hand coordination.
3. Uses strength and control to perform simple tasks.
4. Identify body parts and understand simple functions.
5. Demonstrate the stamina and energy to participate in daily activities.
Observations:

- Begins to start, stop and turn without falling or running into something.
- Imitates animal movements, etc. Can alternate motor skills.
- Cooperates/”helps” with dressing. (pulls off a sock)
- Can walk on a line on the floor.
Toddler Objectives

- Begins to start, stop and turn without falling or running into something.
- Imitates animal movements, etc. Can alternate motor skills.
- Can walk on a line on the floor.
- Cooperates/”helps” with dressing. (pulls off a sock)
Beginning Preschool Objectives
1. Shows increasing levels of proficiency, control, and balance in walking, climbing, running, marching, etc.
2. Begins to coordinate movements in more complex gross motor tasks.
3. Uses strength and control with a variety of objects and performs simple tasks.
Observations:
- Demonstrates progress transitioning from running to hopping.
- Participates actively in outdoor play and exercise.
- Can catch, throw or kick a large ball.
Intermediate Preschool Objectives
1. Demonstrates growing strength, dexterity and control needed to perform a variety of fine motor tasks.
2. Demonstrate increasing stamina, endurance, control, balance and coordination.
3. Use balance and control to perform large motor tasks.
Observations:
- Participate in different physical activities with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrate progress transitioning from running to skipping.
- Catch a ball with two hands.

- Throw a ball in the right direction, aiming at a target with reasonable accuracy.
- Move through an obstacle course forwards and sideways using a variety of movements with ease.
- Balance on one foot briefly and later maintain balance on a beam that is close to the ground.
- Point to body parts when prompted and begin to identify simple functions.
